Cold weather escorted January into 2018 in many parts of North Carolina & the North East. It forced us to slow down and look toward indoor activities. Our History with hospitality approach at the Meadows Inn continues to blossom. We are researching ‘our’ history via an Ancestry kit received for Christmas. Anyone guess where we are from?

January is Women’s history month. New Bern was home to Bayard Wooten, a pioneer photographer (1875-1959). She is known for her black & white photos of the South along with aerial photography. She named Pepsi Cola & created its’ iconic logo for her neighbor Caleb Bradham, who invented the drink. Her birthplace is located in historic New Bern.

Book Clubs are a popular indoor activity for winter. We are offering a special rate in January & February for Sleep over Book Clubs to meet at the Meadows Inn. Rate applies to any group getaway activity that you can come up with. Gather together old & new acquaintances and plan a “Big Chill” (remember the movie?) getaway at the Meadows Inn in beautiful charming downtown New Bern, NC.

“Big Chill” Special

Our “Big Chill” Special for January & February applies to 2 or more rooms booked for a single rate of 96.00/night & double rate of 116.00/night. All rates include breakfast. Reservations must be made online or via phone and specify “Big Chill” discount. No other discounts apply.
