September- Fall Into Fun

Someone asked me recently, Where is your happy place? It got me to thinking. My happy place is anywhere I can share with my family. Sometimes just spending time over a meal, hanging out or taking a trip together. Happiness is a journey. It is posted in our gathering room “The Journey is the Reward”.

September is one of my favorite months. The weather is ideal for many outside activities in beautiful historic downtown New Bern. We would like to welcome our new neighbor, the Pollock Street Oyster Bar. They will be opening on September 6. A big welcome and thanks to all of the bicycle riders coming to town September 8th & 9th to raise money for MS.

September begins with “Piggin & Grinnin” on 9/2/17, as well as the Stanly-Spaight Duel. Artwalk & Artcrawl on September 9/8 is always fun to walk around downtown New Bern with the stores staying open. Enjoy the art, music & refreshments. Musical offerings this month include the Carolina Music Festival and Music On Deck @ Persimmons 8/31 thru 9/28 on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m.

Journey to New Bern and make it one of your “Happy Places”. Next month the pumpkins will arrive at Christ Church & reservations are being taken for Ghost Walk 10/26, 27, & 28/2017.
